The center also contributes an annual economic impact of $107 million to the region.
Bipartisan State of the Nation Project redefines how we measure American progress
What does it mean for a country to thrive? The State of the Nation Project seeks to answer that question by tracking Americans’ progress — not just economically but also in terms of health, happiness, trust, opportunity and daily life. Led by Tulane economist Douglas Harris and supported by the Murphy Institute, the project brings together institutions nationwide and senior officials from five presidential administrations. The result is a robust new framework for thinking about the future — not just what policies we pursue, but how those choices shape the lives of the American people.
