AYR 25: Rising Together

AYR 25: Building Momentum

Tulane is accelerating its impact in design, climate research, and industrial innovation. The newly renamed School of Architecture and Built Environment reopened its historic home after a major renovation, blending sustainability with modern design. The school also launched the Center on Climate Change and Urbanism to lead research and public engagement on global climate issues. Meanwhile, Tulane Ventures invested in startups transforming infrastructure through robotics and digital marketplaces.

AYR 25: Recognition on the Rise

Tulane is being nationally recognized for major contributions to science, technology, and education. A $22.9M federal award supports its development of MAGIC-SCAN, a cancer imaging system with life-saving potential. Faculty received top honors in physics and invention, and new leadership appointments reflect Tulane’s growing strength in AI, environmental science, and professional education.

Tulane launched a brain aging program to assess Alzheimer’s risk and personalize prevention plans. Scientist Monica Embers co-founded Aces Diagnostics to improve Lyme disease testing with 90% early detection accuracy. Researchers found a cancer drug may help treat pulmonary fibrosis by clearing lung scarring. A new handheld TB device diagnoses in under an hour, offering life-saving potential in underserved regions.

Tulane hosted its first Future of Energy Forum, spotlighting Louisiana’s role in global innovation. Book Fest drew record crowds and top authors, expanding its national reach. The Flowerree Symposium tackled coastal challenges through science and storytelling. NYU’s Melissa Murray headlined the McGlinchey Lecture on federal litigation.
